Great article, and thanks for the kind words about my blog. I'm glad I found yours.
I agree with your take on Windward dining. I also have been eating out here for years. Many of the recent closures have been due to the lack of a dinner crowd. Pig-N-Chik was still doing a great lunch business when they closed.
There is good food to be found within lunch distance for cubicle dwellers, you've just gotta get past the Panera's of the world!
I should probably give K Cafe another try. I was there shortly after they opened and could tell that they would change the concept around a lot. Sounds like they are in a groove now.
