Zarzour's hamburger has been one of the best kept secrets for decades, but it looks like the word is getting out. I'm glad, though. They deserve the recognition and the customers.
This 40-year Zarzour's fan says steer clear of the fried fish, unless it's the homemade salmon croquettes on Wednesday. However, Friday's open-face roast beef is an absolute must. This is a slow-cooked beef clod (pulled and smothered with gravy) served over plain white bread. It's so good, you'll not only slap yo mama, you'll slap everyone at yo table.
