You're right, their donuts are fantastic. It's good for my weight that they aren't open much!

For things to do and see in Snellville, you need to venture a little further into Snellville than just looking at it from US-78. Please see this page for things to do and see in the area.

PS: The Dickey's BBQ location has closed. If you ask me, they didn't give it much a chance before they closed. I have a blog about restaurants in Snellville called Snellville Eats. It's not very 'foodie,' though!

If you have any questions about Snellville, be sure to contact me through my blog - I'll be glad to help!

You're welcome! I enjoyed reading your blog. You didn't miss much at the Dickey's, if you ask me. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't my style of barbeque. We seem to get a lot of the "Carolina" style barbeque places around here. I like the good old southern shredded type. Spiced Right Barbeque in Lilburn used to be really good (haven't been there in a long time, though)

Sorry, I forgot to tell you - yes, we don't have many record stores (boy you must be as old as I am, what's a 'record?' lol!!!) but we do have Borders Books and Music and a huge Barnes and Noble bookstore on Scenic Highway. Lots of books and music in those, but you are right that we don't have many independent shops for books or music.

I know you posted this all the way back in Dec of last year so sorry about just now commenting being new to blogging myself. This all said I feel compelled to say that I LOVE Donut King and have been going to that wonderful piece of heaven since I was little being 21 years old now. Their pigs in a blanket are to die for and the main reason I go there. I know the employees at this point and it's a wonderful environment and they are always friendly. Easily my favorite place in the world to eat breakfast besides home of course.

Don't worry about a late comment, Jason. Food blogging seems to naturally bring in some late visitors who arrive via Google. I certainly appreciate hearing more about the restaurants that I feature any time, and now you've got me curious to try the pigs-in-blankets. I wonder when I can conspire to be out in Snellville for breakfast again to try them.
