Regarding Sonny's and its departure from Columbus:
Jim Morpeth, owner of Country's, wrote a great Letter to the Editor several years back.
In a nutshell, he spoke up for the other places as well as his own, namely, ' We dont need someone coming in here to try to tell us what good barbecue is.'
That's the bottom line!
When he lived in Columbus, our friend Matt was a member of Jim's church, and based on what he's told me about the good man, I can totally picture him writing that article. If only every community would run Sonny's out of town!
